Eco Creation, a leading eco-friendly pyrolysis technology company, announced on the 14th that it has been approved as a result of an installation inspection by the National Institute of Environmental Research for a waste plastic pyrolysis production plant installed in E&C Yeoncheon.
Eco Creation started installing its waste plastic pyrolysis plant at E&C Yeoncheon in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi in December last year. In April of this year, it was inspected by the National Institute of Environmental Research in accordance with detailed regulations on installation inspection of pyrolysis plants by the Ministry of Environment, and recently received the results.
At the end of November last year, the Ministry of Environment revised the Enforcement Decree and Enforcement Regulations of the Waste Management Act to add waste treatment plants that can produce pyrolysis oil through pyrolysis plants which are recycling plants. Previously, it was classified as incineration plants within the scope of incineration plants was classified separately as pyrolysis plants within the scope of recycling plants in order to activate pyrolysis.
The main inspection standards are that the proper reaction temperature and pressure of the pyrolysis reactor should be maintained, and safety equipment for explosion accidents such as pressure gas leaks and the performance of recovering pyrolysis oil above 50% of the weigh of waste.
“Since it was the first inspection of the installation of pyrolysis plants since the revision of the relevant law, we have been inspected with strict standards on the design basis, compliance with regulations, and how to verify them, and we are happy to have good results.” Eco Creation said. “We will continue to lead the market with eco-friendly technologies as we have been officially recognized for the stability and technology of equipment following the first new technology certification by the Ministry of Environment in Korea in 2021.”
